Teacher Assistant , Sioux Falls (closing September 10, 2010)
Southern Hills Preschool and Afterschool Program
Hours:
2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
Lead all children by participating in games, reading with children, and teaching them simple, fun and enriching activities. Help children learn good behavior choices. Help children develop habits of caring for their own clothing and picking up and putting away toys and books. Spend time outdoors with children. Communicate daily activities and concerns to parents. Maintain discipline. Supervise children on field trips and as they walk to the program after school. Assist in preparing and serving food and cleaning areas to insure clean sanitary conditions and to meet standards. Maintain minimal daily paperwork.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED plus childcare experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Salary: $8.00 to $9.50 dependent upon experience
