LSS Childcare & Education Services emphasize hands-on, enriching activities that keep children engaged in learning. We know that children learn best when they are having fun. Staff focus on helping each student succeed by providing a caring environment with strong relationships. Our philosophy is to provide students with opportunities to make choices. This instills a love of learning in each child. Our students enjoy an academic jump-start that serves them throughout their lives. LSS Childcare & Education Services are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are licensed by the state of South Dakota.

I feel that everyone cares for each child emotionally, physically, academically and mentally. I honestly feel that the staff cares how my child does while in their care, in school and at home. They are truly there for each and every child’s needs.
10 Awesome Things I Have Seen While My Children Have Attended:
1. Snacks…they make them nutritious and fun. The kids learn while they are making their own snack.
2. Projects…there are always several projects both during the summer and during the school year. My kids often bring home ideas and things we can do at home. Many of the science projects relate exactly to what they are doing in school.
3. Age appropriate…I feel that snacks, projects, games, field trips etc are always age appropriate.
4. Homework…is done and there is always time set aside for reading.
5. Safety... is always at the forefront of all the staff’s minds. I feel they are very safety conscious and teach the kids to be that way too.
6. Fun…there are always new activities, new ideas and new things for my child to learn or do. They seem to cater to the interests of all age groups and boys and girls. Whether it is painting fingernails, playing football or playing a game of air hockey, there is something for each child’s interest.
7. Time outside…I feel that every effort is made for the kids to be able to spend time outside. I feel that outside time is so important. This is one of my hugest requirements for my kid is that they spend time outside!
8. Happy…my kids have always come away happy. We have been at after school and summer programs where my kids come away sad and not wanting to go back. This does NOT ever happen here.

10. Staff…last, but not least of course…the staff is outstanding. They are always open for ideas and know exactly where my child is at all times. The staff is extremely respectful to parents and children. I feel that staff is always dressed neat and clean and they keep the facilities neat and clean. The staff is always present and available for questions when you drop off or pick up your child. Most of all, they are kind, intelligent, good hearted people!
Staff
Staff members are high-quality professionals with education and experience in early childhood development and elementary education. Staff is provided with consistent ongoing training.
Enrollment
Call to set up a tour or stop by the facility. Fill out an application (available online) and bring in a copy of current immunization records along with a $15 nonrefundable deposit. Children are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Spaces fill quickly so it is best to sign up early.
