Residential Care for Youth
Treatment Principles
Treatment at LSS residential facilities is based on Reality Therapy/Choice Theory. Youth are encouraged to learn and practice responsible decision making, develop self-respect, and build healthy relationships in a structured and supportive environment. Residential programs use a team approach to implement a structured therapeutic program that is customized for each youth and integrated into the daily living experience. Members of the team include the child, family members, referral workers, teachers and program staff.
