Fort Courage For Flood Survivors

Fort Courage for Flood Survivors is offered for youth in fifth through tenth grade who have experienced loss because of recent flooding throughout the state of South Dakota and other affected areas. The week is designed to help young people impacted by disaster to build skills, process their experience, rest and have fun. Well trained counselors, helpful staff and programmatic activities help young people discover that in the midst of life’s trials, peace, hope, perseverance and joy may be found through faith, a caring community and the beauty of God’s creation. Pastors and counselors with specialized training in disaster response will be on-site and programmatic activities are planned with age appropriate needs in mind.
