Gear Up & Get Cyc'ed
How It
Works!

Ride independently or as part of a team. A team is 10 people, each riding for 25 minutes with a five-minute break to change riders. You don’t need to be in Tour de France condition to enter. Many folks will need to take breaks during their 25 minutes on the bike!

Step #1 Get Registered
Register today as an individual or a team. Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you a biker information packet.

Step #2 Get Pledges
Start today to recruit pledges from friends and family. Print off a pledge form from our website to start right away (collect pledges as you go). We’ll send you more pledge forms and a pledge collection envelope too. Set a goal (we recommend a goal of $200 per biker) and share your fundraising objective with your pledge sponsors.

Step #3 Get Cyc’ed
Come Cyc’ed and ready to pedal for those who struggle in our South Dakota communities. These are the first of many Get Cyc’ed stationary bike events to provide services for individuals and families who can only afford to pay a portion of the cost of services such as mental health counseling, residential services for youth at risk, birth parent counseling, mentoring services and foster care. Together, we’ll Get Cyc’ed to help those who need hope and guidance.

Step #4 Everyone Wins
Although thousands of South Dakotans will benefit and ultimately win from your biking efforts, prizes will be awarded in individual and team categories. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $50 to ride with their team, but are challenged to raise more in order to be eligible for other prizes and help LSS to serve even more people in South Dakota. All riders are eligible for prizes.

Celebrity cyclists will join us throughout the day.

LSS is licensed by the State of South Dakota and accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services. LSS is a United Way agency.
