History of LSS of South Dakota

A vision, coupled with compassion and faith, brought the Lutheran Home Finding Society into being. Organized in 1920 to serve unfortunate girls and their offspring, this agency is now called Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota and its services are available to everyone.

LSS has continued with the original vision – witnessing the pain of human life, seeing potential for healing and wholeness while exploring new avenues of service to the people of South Dakota.
