Every year thousands of people of all ages, races and economic situations come to LSS with emotional, financial or spiritual pain. They are people whose personal vision never included abuse, addiction, bankruptcy, isolation or despair. But now, they are people searching for ways to effectively solve their personal and family problems, restore hope, and experience fullness of life.

For more than 85 years, LSS has been bringing people in need together with people who care. Last year, LSS served nearly 41,000 South Dakotans. Today, LSS reaches out to dozens of South Dakota communities statewide with a variety of programs.
