Homeownership is a dream for many people. Those who desire to purchase a home need the knowledge and skills to make it happen. Some also need financial assistance.

Let Consumer Credit Conseling Service help! We can provide down payment closing costs up to $1,000 for those who meet income guidelines. We also provide the knowledge and skills to make a home purchase. Those who qualify can complete the following steps to receive this grant at their home purchase closing:

Complete 2 financial counsels with a certified credit counselor.
Develop a plan to save an additional $500 to add to current savings for down payment and closing costs.
Complete homebuyer education. Can be done one-on-one or in a classroom setting.

All services are free of charge and made possible by Wells Fargo Housing Foundation and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. You must live in Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook or Turner counties in South Dakota to qualify for this grant.
