Prepare for your marriage, not just your wedding. Most premarital couples spend a great deal of time, energy and money on a wedding ceremony that lasts a few hours. But they spend little time acquiring relationship skills needed to build a marriage that could last 50 years. We use the PREPARE/ENRICH Couple Program to help couples develop a strong and growing relationship.

The program includes the appropriate inventory, a report specifically developed for each couple and the Building A Strong Marriage Workbook. We use both individual and group sessions in our program to help couples identify relationship areas to enrich, help them build on strengths and teach them to communicate more effectively with their partner about a variety of important topics.

Our program covers such topics as:

• Assertiveness and active listening
• Children and parenting
• Communication skills, verbal and nonverbal
• Constructive conflict resolution
• Managing finances and creating a budget
• Personal, couple and family goals
• Relationship & families-of-origin issues
• Sexual relationships
• Spiritual beliefs
• Strength and growth areas

Our program incorporates a variety of exercises that can help couples build strengths in these areas. These exercises are designed to encourage couples to talk with each other and to plan together how to deal with a variety of important topics.
