Fatherhood & Families: Inside & Out
Eligibility Requirements

• Incarcerated within one of the state’s Department of Corrections facilities and have 24 months or less left to serve prior to their release. The Fatherhood & Families Program is used at the following South Dakota Department of Corrections facilities.

  SD State Penitentiary
  Jameson Annex
  Mike Durfee State Prison
  Yankton Minimum Unit
  Rapid City Minimum Unit
  Redfield Minimum Unit

• Parent of one or more children under the age of 18.
• Be in a committed relationship.
• Voluntarily participate.
• Have no history of a protection or restraining order, or having been incarcerated for a domestic violence charge.
