Services
The goal of Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, Immigration Counseling Center is to foster and facilitate family unity, freedom, and citizenship to foreign-born persons by providing comprehensive, high quality and low cost services. LSS Immigration Counseling Center is accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). LSS of South Dakota is recognized by the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service, INS). LSS employs an attorney who is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a BIA accredited immigration specialist. Immigration services provide:
Individuals seeking assistance with immigration and/or citizenship issues are eligible for services based on the existence of a problem involving immigration and/or citizenship issues because of the individual’s legal status. Those not eligible for services will be referred to other resources. Client fees vary dependent on the extent of services needed, and are separate from those established by the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service, formerly called Immigration and Naturalization Service.
