Alternatives to Detention, Sioux Falls
Full-time, days. Evenings and weekends as needed. Daily on-call duties to include weekends, holidays and evening coverage. Flexible hours outside of normal work hours are required.
Qualified applicant will assist in developing and maintaining the overall programs to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for youth ages 10 to 17 in the Arise Shelter Care program as well as the Reception Center and Evening Reporting Center. Applicant will provide direct supervision, ongoing evaluation and training to staff; recruiting, and hiring as well as initial orientation and training. Candidate must possess proven leadership and communication skills and have strong organizational skills. Applicant must be a critical thinker, be able to think independently and problem-solve day to day situations. Applicant must be able to perform all duties as listed in the associate director job description and task list.
Bachelor’s degree and two years experience in related field and supervision, or equivalent combination of education and experience in residential program required. Licensed counselor or social sorker preferred. Must be 21 years of age. Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
Salary: Dependent on experience.
