Results: Hope & Success
By strengthening the infrastructure, LSS is better able to provide vital services across South Dakota, providing hope, healing and guidance where it is needed most. Hope:
Hospitality that is comforting and welcoming
Opportunities to access services with ease
Possibility for happiness and peace of mind
Embraced without judgment
Providing a “hub” for services
This campus setting will save at least $66,000 annually in operating costs through eliminating leased space and consolidating operational expenses. These savings can then be redirected to client services.
Visibility & Accessibility
Working to design space to accommodate technology and expand telehealth services in mental health and chemical dependency counseling to rural parts of the state.
Enhanced Education Programming
Adequate classrooms space to offer English as a Second Language classes and vocational training. Addition of conference rooms with technology that can be used to deliver education statewide. These also will be a resource for other community partners.
We are increasingly challenged to provide cost-efficient service delivery to rural areas of South Dakota. With the aid of technology, such as secure video conferencing, professional counselors will be able to work with clients anywhere in the state as long as they have access to internet and a video equipped computer or smart phone.
I believe in LSS because the mission clearly represents the Gospel of health, healing and wholeness. The people of LSS are the hands and feet of Christ. Mary Minton, Governing Board of Directors, Sioux Falls
