Hour-long class provides information for student loan borrowers

Given the impact that student loan debt continues to have on many Americans, the LSS Center for Financial Resources (CFR) is offering monthly Student Loan Bootcamp classes. These classes are designed to help student loan borrowers take control of their loans. Participants will learn how to locate their loans, identify payment options, learn about loan forgiveness programs, and learn to avoid student loan-related fraud. The classes will give participants the tools to move forward in handling their own student loans.

By proactively dealing with student loan debt and avoiding debt relief fraud, individuals can more freely move forward with other goals. Student Loan Bootcamp is designed for a variety of participants, from recent graduates to those in the midst of a payment plan.

The classes are being offered on:
Tuesday, Jan. 31st, 12:00 PM, at LSS – 705 E 41st St.
Saturday, Feb. 25th, 9:00 AM, at LSS – 705 E 41st St.
Thursday, March 23rd, 12:00 PM, at the Downtown Library – corner of 8th St. and Dakota Ave.

There is a fee of $20 for attending the class. Those unable to attend in person may attend via video conference, but must register 24 hours in advance by calling 1-888-258-2227.
