New Alternatives is a voluntary program for young adults who express a level of motivation and an interest in developing independence. This is not a treatment program; rather, it is a program providing young adults the necessary assistance to achieve a successful transition into adulthood.
Interested applicants should apply for services by contacting New Alternatives. The application process allows staff to understand the depth of services needed for the client. To understand how to best support the young adult, two applications are completed. One application is for the client who is being referred to services. The other application is completed by the referring worker or family member.
Once the applications are complete, a pre-placement interview will be conducted and collateral information will be reviewed before acceptance.
